Tips for making homemade liquid soap

After you have made your homemade liquid soap, you should write down the date it was made, as it will keep in good condition for approximately 6 months. After that time, it is likely to last a little longer or begin to show symptoms of decomposition.

Remember that you are handling chemical products. Therefore, you must make sure you have the necessary protection. For example, glasses, mask and rubber gloves. In case you are using a helper, this should also be well protected.

In the event that caustic soda has accidentally come into contact with your skin, wash the area with plenty of cold water. In addition, it is recommended that you have vinegar on hand, as it is considered a natural neutralizer of caustic products. If the product has fallen into your eyes, wash with plenty of cold water and consult your doctor as soon as possible.

It is important that you bear in mind that you must pour the caustic soda into the water and not the other way around, since, otherwise, a very dangerous explosion could be caused.

Since caustic soda can increase the temperature of liquids up to 80 degrees, the recommendation is that you only use containers that are resistant to heat.

If you follow these recommendations to the letter, you will be sure that no accident will occur that you may regret. In addition, the final result will be a quality product, 100% handmade, which you can share with other people and you can even market it, if you want.

However, if this is the case, seek the advice of an expert in the field to be aware of the entire legal process and how you can protect the manufacturing rights of the homemade product.
